Suspension Mountain
How necessary is to have a complete mountain bike suspension?
I'm about to get a mountain bike, I'm thinking of getting a Trek 4300. It is a rigid bike. I plan on riding in a park near my house with lots of dirt roads and mountains. Is it okay if I have a bike rigid or is it really necessary for me to have a full suspension bike for the plan as it does?
If you'll be on dirt roads and mountains then a rigid should be fine. Any full suspension bike will be heavier than a rigid similar price and most of the trails that simply do not need the full suspension of all. In my Merlin Malt I spend much time with the front suspension locked, even off road trails. To get a decent quality, with full suspension bike front and rear lockouts, you have to spend much more of what will be on your Trek 4300.
