In mid-1970 saw the oil crisis to force many people to use the bicycle as an important means of transportation and recreation. This period also saw Schwinn combine efforts with Panasonic. Large models out of Schwinn / Panasonic association are also two of the most popular vintage Schwinn today, the World and World Traveller Voyager.
