Road Brake

Brake technology these days go further to offer more advanced services. The brakes are indeed crucial, that is. They are the first to enter the mind of the driver when the road problems. Just hit the brakes and the worst could be avoided. However, if the brakes are unreliable, which could mean the worst tragedy on the roads.
Braking is not as easy as it sounds. The panic could lead to skidding and loss of steering control. This is why why brake manufacturers have been adding sophisticated features to help drivers to stay in control of the situation, while making the braking. Technologically advanced brakes could also help drivers stop the car more safely.
In most cases, owners of cars are aware of the new integrated braking systems for vehicles. Moreover, they also have no idea how they work. Brakes the use of various acronyms such as ABS, which stands for antilock brakes and EBD, which represents electronic brake distribution.
ABS is used by vehicles Several passengers of several decades. Use the electronic pulse at each wheel to meticulously "brake faster than any driver could physically during panic stops. This rapidly pulsating brake prevents wheels from locking during hard, sudden stops and in some pavements slippery. The problem is to prevent wheel lockup. The latter can lead to skids and frustrate drivers maintain steering control.
Most vehicles today are equipped with ABS brakes, either standard or optional feature. The Chevrolet Aveo has an option for ABS brakes. The starting manufacturer's suggested retail price is $ 10,000. The Hyundai Accent is also using it. It offers less than $ 11,000. One thing about AB is that the brakes are only activated in sudden braking, when pressure is applied on the brake pedal. Not active in milder stops and not necessarily to reduce the distance the car has to stop.
EBD, also called electronic brake dosage, it works automatically. No driver intervention needed to distribute the braking force between wheels. Without EBD, there may be occasions when the braking force is strongly biased to one side of the car. This situation is the result of the roll across the car and mystifying the driver. It can even cause a skid.
EBD tends to be standard on many luxury cars like Mercedes-Benz SL-Class and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Other Vehicles brakes equipped with EBD include the Nissan Pathfinder, Toyota 4Runner and Land Cruiser.
Another braking system, which is often blended with EBD, is BA or brake assist. BA controls the braking maneuvers by the driver and if you find you're doing emergency braking, the system automatically completes the driver to stop as soon as possible. This is done by increasing the braking power to the highest. It stops working immediately after the driver gets up on the brake pedal. Compared with ABS, BA could improve stopping distances. Furthermore, studies have shown that BA even helps in stopping drivers more efficiently. BA is standard in many SUVs and luxury cars like the Lexus LS 430, LX 430 and SC 470.
BA is often part of Pre-Collision or Pre-Safe systems. They are designed to prepare cars in a timely attainment of optimum safety performance. In fact, they could operate efficiently within seconds of the impending collision.
What is next on the braking technology is for us to find soon. But one thing is certain – the car engineers not finished with the sophistication of brakes.
