It's not difficult. In almost all road bikes in good condition, the plates are held in place by plate screws, there are usually 5 of them. you need an Allen wrench or a Torx to remove them. You have to determine the bolt circle diameter of your plate to find out what dish will fit the crank. For road bikes 2 courses, the most common bolt circle diameter (BCD) is 130 mm.
