How much is a light (MTB) bicycle frame mountain weigh?
Hello. I'm going to buy a mtb frame and I want something light. I do not know what is considered light for a steel frame chrome or aluminum and want to know. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Assuming you want a valid framework MTB XC (cross country), the lightest hardtails frames. Also, whenever you do not want to go to the full custom route will probably end up with a good framework butted aluminum. One-level race butted aluminum rigid frame can be found in the range of 1,500 grams, about 3.3 pounds. Cost of the figure to be somewhere in the range of $ 1000 … maybe a little less if you can find another model of a trademark or buy a closeout. Personally, I would not frame weight as my primary concern for mountain biking.
