How much should I pay for a rear derailleur?
I bent the hell out of my rear derailleur. A friend leaned back and it worked well for a while, but is acting up. I travel a lot and my bike is very nice. Do not want to pay more for something that does not need, do not want to underpay and get away. …. And what diverter type should I buy? (MTB, rigid)
Well, the easiest option is to get the same make and model. Beyond that, there are some issues compatibility to worry about. Also sure to check your derailleur hanger – if bent you may need to replace (or straighten, but they have to do a professional).
