Brake Housing
Does the wheel of a car have to be flush with the brake drum housing?
I will change the wheels of trucks summer tires with snow tires mounted on different wheels. But when I put new wheels, the rounded end of the shaft does not fit through the hole in the center of the wheel (as did I removed the wheels). This means that the wheel does is flush against the brake drum (this is a rear wheel). This is dangerous, right?, And do not use these wheels.
Do not use the wheels. The need of the press against the brake drums (which have the drums in place). It would be very easy for the lugnuts loose, or bending the rim trying to tighten the lugnuts that never make the conference a "place" would wobble as you drove down the road … But not using them. As stated earlier, you can get an engine room to enlarge the hole to the size you need to slide over the hub.
