What is the best "urban bike" for women out there?
I live in a city "small", a cross between a town and city, and there are plenty of great routes to ride bicycles. I do not know what would be best for me, what brands are good? I also do not want to spend much money.
The trek is mentioned casual_rider excellent bike for the type of driving is likely to do. Gary Fisher (a subsidiary of Trek) has a similar line, which is also quite large. Giant, Specialized, Felt, and Bianchi are some other good brands. Basically, for casual, fun riding you want to do, you do not need a bike with a lot of bells and whistles, and you do not have to spend much money. You can look at the WSD specific designs (women), but these are generally found in higher price ranges and may or may not be necessary for you. I have found that women over 5'5 "often fit into the standard (men), bicycles well. You can also search a step through frame if you want, but this is not entirely necessary either. Hybrids and fitness bikes are a good option, a basic mountain bike with a rigid fork and slick tires is another option, and a cruise with 3 or more arts Fishing is a third. Each style of bike rides and fits a little different, so I suggest you go to your local bike shop and test the entry-level models in each one of these categories and see what feels best for you and the one that best suits your budget. You should be in first place for a comfortable fit. This also should look to improving the chair, usually the population of bicycle saddles (except cruise ships) are quite hard, so consider choosing one with a little more padding and width to it. Employees can not help find a good bike and saddle and can explain the differences in price to help you determine what you need and what is not needed. They should not pressure you into buying a more expensive bike. If you feel you're getting the hard sell, go elsewhere. As I said, comfort is the key for you – a bike that you feel good on a bicycle ride will be removed and often. And while this may sound silly, do not rule things such as aesthetics – there are some really great cruises on the market – many of them quite inexpensive Cycling – they really are very cool and a lot of fun to ride! happy!
