Bike tires?
so I just found a nice road bike in the attic … I hope to use it in college when you return to school … the thing is that one tire has slight cracks in it … I wonder if you should replace tires, or is it anything serious?
If it has been in the attic and the tires are cracked, it is likely that needs cleaning and tuning decent. Definitely needs new tubes and tires for openings. Cables old should be replaced – if they are old and not yours, you might not have brakes at a very bad. Brake Pads Old collapse with heat and pressure. Your chain should be cleaned and oiled (not w / WD-40, or – the real fat) and should ensure that the bottom bracket (where the pedal cranks attach to the structure) is well oiled and moving with ease. old bikes are great, but the older they get, the more maintenance they require. The cost of manufacturing a safe commute can be better used to buy something basic and well built. Good luck and be safe:)
