Bicycle Brake

What is the difference between a front and rear of the bicycle brake caliper?
Bicycle brakes are delivered in the "front" or "back" or as a pair. I see no difference in the appearance of the brakes. I realize that the braking forces through the brakes are opposite, front to back, but I see no physical difference in the design of the brakes. Except perhaps for the length of the mounting screws.
Yes, there is a difference lengths of mounting bolts (more – front, shorter – later). But there may be other differences. Brake pads with the brake pads are removable front and rear, special. If you switched around the brakes (which can not be because the different length mounting bolts will not allow this), the pellets Removable brake eventually work themselves out of the brake shoes due to braking forces pulling forward. Also, some manufacturers make the weaker rear brake to the front. This is done to reduce blocking of the rear wheel. The answers have to do with the length of the cable are a bit silly, since the cables are not really part brake mechanisms, and is stating the obvious.
